NYC Fashion / Quick Fixes

New York City is a fashion empire and it has been a pleasure for me to be surrounded by this environment filled with constant sheik fashion. From all major brand name stores to small boutiques they all share one thing in common when it comes to fashion and that is: it is always hot, in style, and trendy. Everyday men and women dress very well and versatile to be prepared for anything that may arise in this city filled with opportunity. Here are a few quick fixes that I observed and picked up on that will help anyone be prepared for any occasion at anytime.

1. Always Accessorise: ( Men and Women)
-Hats
-Sunglasses
-Scarfs
-Belts
-Jewelry

2. Handbags:
-Carry a seasonal purse

3.Nails
-Fully painted or natural bare (never wear chipped polish)

4. High-Heels
-Always wear or carry a pair of heels, they will dress up any outfit!

Carry Yourself the way you like to be seen!

Extended Stay In NYC / Opportunity

Hello Everyone,

There has been no question that NYC has been wonderful to me and I have enjoyed the night life scene tremendously! However, everything in life needs balance and my theory is to "work as hard as I play"! I have decided to extend my stay here in NY for another week for business. There are endless opportunities here for business and networking. My plan is to aggressively gain several leads this week and build off of that. I have already landed a few great hooks for "writing" and set up an exclusive interview (I will fill you in on the celebrity guest that I will be interviewing later this week). I figure when life brings you opportunities and you are in the position to receive them, then knowing when to listen and accept a blessing is a part of the success!

Always stay Focused!

I Love NYC!!!!!

My stay in New York City is going absolutely wonderful! I am staying at a great place on Park Ave on the 24th floor. Every morning when I wake up, I look out the window and daze at the beautiful sights of NYC and gaze at the Empire state building. It is the most inspirational, motivational, and empowering feeling to look down and watch a bunch of people and cars maneuver around on such a mission. The amount of productivity is a adrenalin within itself! It is truly like watching life in complete action. The pace in Manhattan is very fast but the people are very friendly, the success is extraordinary, and the options are endless. I am truly so thankful for this amazing blessing and look forward to every minute of my days here.

Believe in yourself and your dreams!

Insights By Ish is in NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!

I am in New York city as of this morning and I am absolutely loving it! I was literally greeted by this song this morning as I got into my private car and headed towards my Park Ave Suite. As soon as I got off the plane, I remember feeling the sensational feeling of being back in NYC. However, as I was driven through the sights of Queens towards Midtown Manhattan everything had looked different. There was a different beauty, history, and art that I instantly fell in love with and was captivated by. I was surrounded by VERY tall amazing various designed buildings that stood very sturdy and strong, streets filled with cars and yellow cabs, and people and shops of every kind. I am amazed by this powerful and beautiful city and all that it has to offer. It is different being back but Amazing because I am seeing New York through the same pair of eyes but a whole new perspective. My theme for this trip in NYC is: To Make Magic, stay tuned...

Having the time of my life with my sister Veronica aka BeBe!

Embrace Your Hands and Feet

Besides for getting regular manicures and pedicures for our nails, it is important that we equally take care of our hands and feet regularly. Our hands and feet are such a precious tool on our body that it is very important that we love and take care of them. Our feet carries our body's whole weight and literally takes us from A to B everyday of our life. In addition, our hands are the movement of our daily functions. Here are a few great ways to maintain healthy hands and feet year long.

1. Soak your hands and feet in warm water with 2 teaspoons of olive oil and a capsule of vitamin E for about 15 minutes each = this will rejuvenate the hands and feet, also prevent them from aging

2. Apply a hand or body scrub all over your hands and feet =  this will remove dead skin and refresh the hands and feet

3. Always use a foot  rasp/buffer on your feet in the shower= this will remove any roughness, callus, etc

4. Apply a hydrating lotion to hands and feet=  this will relax the muscles and maintain smoothness of the  skin (you can also apply lotion and wear a pair of socks over it, your hands and feet will be silky soft in the morning)

Love your Hands and Feet!

Happy Friday, Lets Have Some Fun!

I think one of the keys to being happy in life is being able to keep life in balance. Being a Libra, I have struggled with balance in my past but as I've grown older I have learned that there is no such thing as a balanced equilibrium and the key for me is to not strategically  place but manage balance to the best of my ability. With so many possibilities and opportunities it is important to enjoy, explore, and play in this playground of life! Many people limit themselves by worrying, over analyzing, and being afraid of taking risks; however, without exploration, risks, and change, we cannot live in our full potentials. I think that if we can get out of our heads and into our hearts then there is a lot more character added to the magnificent people that we already are. Life is too precious to be taken too seriously and since we only have one life to live, I think it is in our best interest to live it to the fullest. A part of being alive is actually living life!

Have a Safe, Blessed, and Fun Weekend!

Moisturizer and Hydration Special

One of the best things that you can do for your skin is to keep it moisturized and well hydrated. Besides for drinking plenty of water, a good moisturizer protects the skin from premature aging, wrinkling, and dryness. Moisturizers usually come in two forms: liquid and cream. Your moisturizer should always have SPF to protect the skin from suns rays and be customized for your skin type. Moisturizers should be applied to the face and neck evenly after cleansing and toning the skin. Here is a simple guideline of how to choose your moisturizer:

*Dry Skin: Rich liquid and cream moisturizers are the the best for this type of skin

*Oily Skin:  A water based oil-free moisturizer

*Sensitive Skin:  Herbal and natural moisturizers that are light and made for sensitive skin

Pick your Moisturizers Wisely!

Courage

Courage is a very important word but not easily understood or practiced.  Courage is the most powerful trait we can bring to any situation but it is one of the most difficult actions to practice.  So what does this powerful word that holds so much weight actually mean? According to dictionary.com, the definition of courage is: the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery. Now what does this mean... For me, I think courage means to be in your own truth! It is the process of being able to listen to your spirit, feel strongly for what it is asking for, and acting upon that. However, the practice of courage is much more difficult because it challenges a person to face the adversity of their fears. It takes the same amount of energy to build the courage to succeed as it takes to accept the terms of failure. However, I truly believe if a person is in their own truth, does not hold back on themselves, then the outcome of any situation cannot lead you wrong.

Have a Blessed day and Be Courageous in All you do!..Ish
