Dehydration can lead to fatigueness, muscle weakness, and dizziness. Drinking more water will increase your energy!

2. Weight loss
Water is one of the best tools for weight loss.  Water has no fat, no calories, no carbs, no sugar. It replaces high-calorie drinks like soda and juice.  Drink plenty of water to help your weight-loss regimen.

Skin is the largest cell in the body and research shows that  drinking water can clear up blemishes and acne.  Also once the skin is properly hydrated, there is a nautural healthy glow that refelects from the skin.

*Tea + Skin  = Benefits:

WHITE TEA:
White tea — which is made from only the delicate buds of the tea plant — has the highest levels of antioxidants, which protect against harmful free radicals.  White tea has high amounts of substances that protect elastin and collagen, proteins in our skin that maintain skin elasticity. Extracts in white tea exert an anti-inflammatory effect that slows the breakdown of collagen and elastin fibers -- that skin needs to stay firm and wrinkle-free.

GREEN TEA:
This tea contains polyphenols which have anti-inflammatory characteristics. It works as an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory agent that helps fight free radicals from sun, weather conditions, and environmental factors that make our skin age early. It protects the skin and prevents pre-mature aging.

ROSEHIP TEA:
Rosehips are the fruit of the rose plant and are one of the best plant sources of vitamin C, which is important for the immune system, skin and tissue health and adrenal function.  Rose hip tea is anti-aging, as it heals tissues and cells, while its antioxidant property fights cell damage due to free radicals. It also tones the organs and regenerates cells. Excellent source for skin hydration and circulation.

BLACK TEA:
Black tea is made from the dried leaves of Camellia Sinensis which is a perennial green shrub. Green tea, black tea, and oolong tea are all derived from the same plant. Black tea is also rich in antioxidants, vitamins E and C and help to fight free radicals that cause pre-mature aging

Collagen & Health:

I have learned that collagen is much more than a anti-aging tool it is a major protein that is found in all body parts. Collagen is needed for the body's connective tissues, bones, ligaments, joints and the skin which is the largest organ of the body. Collagen is important because it supplies the body with structural support for its complete function. For the skin, collagen pairs up with another protein called elastin and both combined are responsible for the skin's strength, flexibility, and elasticity. When collagen decreases in the skin then the skin begins to wrinkle, sag, and age. Collagen is also important for the bone because our bones are made up of collagen and a mineral called hydroxyapatile which structure our body, its durability and agility. Lastly, collagen also contributes to our muscles by using its fiber to smooth muscles like the bladder, reproductive system, and heart for their functions. Clearly, it is very important to prevent collagen loss and increase collagen production for health and beauty. The key factor in increasing collagen production truly does begin with a person's diet. If there is anything I can emphasize on it will be VITAMIN C, it is essential to eat foods infused in Vitamin C for collagen production and tissue repair. What you choose to put in your body will result in the affects that it has on your body. Here are some healthy choices to increase collagen production:

Production Team:

1. Proteins ( Meat, Fish, Dairy,)

2. Antioxidants All High in Vitamin C ( oranges, berries, mangoes, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, all greens)

3. Mineral Rich foods ( lentils, walnuts, garlic, dried fruit)

* Always drink plenty of water and exercise to enhance the production

    * Let's Start with a Well Balanced Meal:

Last year I went back to school to learn more about herbs and holistic skin care. It was super interesting and I have been captivated ever since. One of the amazing things about our body is the physiology that takes places within us and actually understanding how the body works. There are many components that are interconnected within the body to make it function correctly; however, it is so important to nourish the body with the supplements that it needs to function correctly. Everything begins from our inner health and reflects on the outside. One of the best ways to have vibrant skin ,a fit body, and confidence is through your personal nutrition and exercise. I think it is really important to go back to the basic four food groups and make sure that you are eating a well balanced meal. It is not about how much, how little, or how frequent you eat, but actually feeding your body balanced meals filled with nutrients that it needs. Check out the basic four food groups and start eating better today:

*Protein- meat and fish

*Carbohydrate- bread, pasta, rice

*Fiber- fruits and vegetables

*Dairy - milk and cheese

A Balanced meal is a Good deal!
